I believe fashion photography to be a very expressive and creative genre of photography and I wanted to explore this to its fullest. I took this photograph in Cambridge city centre. I found the model easy to work with and she was great at what she did. Which made my day/job a lot more relaxing. In this shot to the left I told her to have fun and enjoy herself. I wanted a natural facial expression. I wanted her to feel comfortable in what she was wearing. If this had been for an advert advertising the dress I wanted her to look like she was having fun in the dress and look gorgeous at the same time. I told her to begin skipping towards me and on 3 I would take the shot. Although I was happy with the image I still felt it lacked that bit of something else so I composed a bit of after editing. I thought the contrast of the houses and the road would look strong in b/w but at the same time I wanted the viewers attention to be on the dress. So I turned the image b/w and brought back the dress which was yellow into a bright green colour. I then went over the road lines to add a hint of green to them as well to add to the effect. I was very happy with the result.
